Nulabel Technologies
Project Scientist/Project Engineer
Giner, Inc. is a Boston area R&D firm committed to developing and commercializing cutting-edge electrochemical technologies. We leverage our 40+ years of experience in applied electrochemistry, clean energy, and biomedical engineering to produce great ideas and exciting products. We are passionate about creating the best technology available, and we seek to hire talented, team-oriented individuals.

This position would be for Giner’s biological sensor research and development programs. The Project Scientist/Engineer candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of additional experience or a Master’s degree with approximately 3+ years of additional technical experience in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, biological engineering, or a related field. The candidate will perform research to develop novel biosensor platforms and should have a strong background in nucleic acid diagnostic techniques, standard molecular biological protocols and techniques including PCR, DNA/RNA isolation and purification, gel electrophoresis, fluorescence spectroscopy, and ELISA.
In addition to above qualifications, the ideal candidate should have expertise in handling of biological samples, point-of-care (POC) diagnostic assays, and clinical liquid biopsies for DNA/RNA detection. Prior experience in electrochemical-based biosensor technologies is desirable, but not required. Knowledge of clinical diagnostics, biomedical device regulations (510K, device design history file), and microfluidic-based biomedical sensors would also be highly advantageous.
The successful candidate should have the ability to work well independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to design, develop, and validate various biosensor platforms. The candidate will generate results for the preparation of protocols, presentations, technical reports, and sensor prototypes. The candidate should have good oral and written communication skills and have a desire to learn new technologies and concepts.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of additional experience or a Master’s degree with approximately 3+ years of additional technical experience in biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
